Abundance Handwoven Towel
Joy in color, texture, and multiplicity! We’re celebrating Pride with this gradient towel which features every color we have on the yarn shelf. The weft is black which makes the color of the warp threads pop.
In honor of Pride, The Cultivated Thread will be donating a portion of the sales of ‘Abundance’ towels to The Kindling Collective, a queer-centered gear library creating an accessible pathway to outdoor experiences in Wabanaki Confederacy Territory / Maine. Kindling Collective aims to build community and support people in nurturing and sustaining relationships with the natural world and each other. Members can check out the gear they need for camping, hiking, and backpacking adventures. You don’t need to be queer to be a member; you just need to be on board with supporting and affirming queer people’s access to the outdoors.
If you’d like to make an additional donation to Kindling, look for the drop down menu below the ‘add to cart’ button. You can add multiple increments, just remember to hit both the + and ‘add to cart’ when you’re done!
Head over to Kindling’s website to learn more about their great work, become a member of the gear library, and/or donate to them directly.
Kindling Collective is a shared resource relying on volunteer support and funding from individuals and grants to keep the doors open and programming financially accessible for all. Funding raised outside of membership fees is used for gear repairs, new gear, rent, and a living wage for employees.

SIZE and COLOR
Approx. 16" by 23” (size may vary slightly due to the individual nature of handmade goods). This photo is an example of this towel. The one you receive may not be 100% identical.
CARE
Machine wash in cool water with bleach free detergent and tumble dry on low. Avoid using fabric softeners and dryer sheets as they can reduce the towel's absorbability.
We've put a lot of love and care into our production process to give you a finished cloth that's perfect for your needs. We pre-wash all towels to shrink and bind the threads together so you can get right to using them - they're machine sewn and back stitched for extra strength.
PRODUCTION SPACE
The studio where these towels are produced is both smoke free and cat friendly. With their softness, absorbency, and appealing look, towels are our favorite product; they are the epitome of functional art!
