2 hour Weaving Workshops RETURNING IN 2026!

$0.00
Sold Out

Welcome!

We will announce 2026 workshop registration via newsletter. This past year, many seats have filled within minutes of registration opening so we recommend signing up below if you’d like to be notified about future workshops!

During each 2 hour workshop, students will gather at TCT’s studio, where Hilary will start off by demonstrating how the loom works. We will go light on technicality because most of your time will be spent on the loom! The looms will be pre-set up with a color pattern, but you will get to choose from a range of colors to be woven into the set up. You can mix and match as your artistic eye guides! Our goal will be for each of you to weave a tea towel.

Students will be given a label to affix to their work. After class, Hilary will take the cloth off the looms, wet finish, hem, and return each piece back to its weaver.

This workshop is for a range of skill levels and is especially suited to those of you with little to no weaving knowledge. It is great if you have some experience with rigid heddle weaving and want to try different kinds of floor looms. One goal of the workshop is to offer you a chance to weave without the financial burden of purchasing a loom or the time burden of dressing one. Our other hope is that this workshop can offer an artistic respite of sorts; a chance for you to get lost in the rhythm of throwing the shuttle for a few hours in the beautiful setting of our farmhouse studio.

Each workshop is 2 hours long and can accommodate 3 weavers. Please select your desired day and time from the drop down menu. Class times are:

If the date & time you’re interested in is sold out, be sure to add your name to the waitlist, aka “notify me when this product is back in stock”

The total class fee is $110. We ask for a $35 deposit to reserve your seat at the loom. The remaining balance of $75 can be paid at the studio when you come to class. If you’d like to pay the full amount now, please reach out to Hilary at thecultivatedthread@gmail.com

Our magical weekend @haystack_school has come to an end. I admit I was a little teary this morning as our class gathered to reflect on the weekend. Swipe to see the work my students made. They did such an incredible job learning something really hard
Still in the depths of our weekend @haystack_school ! Folks in the fiber studio have wound their warps, dressed their looms and are beginning to weave. I can't wait to see how their textiles come out. Some will get wet finished tonight and hemmed tom
